Championship time is rapidly approaching and now is the time to plan for your success. The goal of Poseidon Swimming is to strive forward and upward to reach your highest potential. Each individual should plan to attend their highest competition level possible which includes the Virginia Zone Team. We realize that many of you will be making last minute travel plans so hopefully this will assist your planning efforts.

A/BB Regional Champs - February 23-25 - Lynchburg LY Those that have events that are not Sr. Champ cuts should plan to attend to support our title defense and securing another TEAM championship banner.

Virginia Senior Champs - March 8-11 - C-Ville UVA Everyone should plan to attend that are qualified regardless of the number of events. If you are qualified for one event or six please make every attempt to participate.

Speedo Championship Sectionals - March 15-18 - Germantown Indoor Swim Center Boyds, MD - This is not a team travel event. Contact the office for hotel reservations. This is an important event which has several key points to consider. First, the highest level of competition for many and second, thru participation you secure USA Academic All-American status for those student athletes that have a 3.5 or higher GPA.

Bonus events are available. One cut = one bonus, Two cuts=2 bonus - Please inform your intent to participate with Ted ASAP.

Age Group Champs - March 15-18 - Midtown Aquatic Center

NCSA Junior Nationals - March 20-24 - Orlando Fla. - Orlando YMCA Aquatic Center

A team travel event. Please inform the Poseidon office of your intentions ASAP.  We will depart Richmond early Monday March 19 and return early Sunday March 25. I have distributed cost and lodging info to those interested.

Eastern Zones - March 29-31 Top two in each event - 15 and over usually needs fast participants - Will be determined at Sr Champs
