Parent education in swimming is always in greater demand than there is ample supply. I attribute this to the simplicity by which professionals, within the sport, treat this subject. I also attribute this to the complexity by which the parents also treat this subject. In short, the commitment necessary of parents in competitive year-round swimming make the parents' involvement within their childrens' swimming simply a complex thing. I have linked up a few complex articles from USA Swimming that support some very simple truths: 1. Parents must love their children unconditionally 2. Parents must remove their egos from their childrens' swimming 3. Parents must put short term successes and failures in perspective to understand thier childrens' long term personal development Check 'em out (and browse the parent section of the USA Swimming page): 50 Things to Help your Child Achieve - Goldsmith and Morris 10 Commandments for Swimming Parents - Snyder Parent and Coach and Other Stuff - Slear
