Before you ship off for your spring break destination (which for most of you means your living room couch), I just wanted to remind you that April IS actually a busy month!

April 16^th will be our BIG LONG COURSE MONDAY MEETING! If you have any questions about the upcoming season, I will be giving away all the answers there. Whether or not they sink in and are retained, is completely up to you and your attention span.

April 21^st we are hosting the Regional Special Olympics meet. We need your help, kids. Please sign up to help in the “meet workers” book (right near the “meet sign-up” book). The meet starts around noon and will run close to 4PM. We will have practice that day.

April 28^th Age-Groupers are invited to participate in the Peak Experience High Adventure course. The activity begins at 12:30PM that Saturday and will last until around 3:30. If you are turned off by the price, it’s understandable; however, you must remember that Peak has significantly dropped the price of this activity from recent years. We are limited to the first 30 swimmers who turn in their medical release forms to the office, so be quick.

Be on the look out for information about the Poseidon Awards Banquet. It will occur in late April on a weekday. All the info will be out soon.

Also be on the alert for meet sign-ups. We will need them to be done early and done promptly. Remember that many of the summer meets fill up quickly. Make sure you are not left behind. All the sign-up dates are now in MEETS section of our web-site. Stay on top of it!

One more mention about Spring Break (and the rest of the warm weather seasons for that matter)…take care of your skin! Ask Coach Rachel about what the sun can do to someone who fair share of time at their summer pool. You may like the short term effects, but the long term can endanger your life! You wouldn’t ride a motor cycle without a helmet..don’t spend time in the sun without high SPF sun-screen.
