Ted joined Poseidon Swimming in the spring of 1993. Throughout his career, Coach Sallade has enjoyed success coaching swimmers at all levels—from the beginning swimmer to USA Olympic Trials qualifiers. He holds a Business Administration degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, and is a three-time Virginia Swimming Coach of the Year recipient. Ted is a certified Level 5 coach with the American Swimming Coaches Association, and contributes over 30 years of experience as an athlete and coach to the Poseidon organization. Coach Sallade currently supports Virginia Swimming as a member of the senior committee, and previously served as Coaches Representative to the Virginia Swimming Board of Directors, Virginia delegate to USA Swimming and coaching staff member of numerous Eastern Zones teams. Ted’s athletes have recorded numerous National Top 16 performances, including number one rankings, a National record, many qualifiers to Junior Nationals, USA Senior Nationals, USA Olympic Trials and has placed  an athlete on a USA National Team. Ted engages with the coaches and athletes at all levels within the team while directing the training of Poseidon’s Senior and National Groups. Ted and his wife Joanna have two boys—Joss and Cooper.
