Please remember about our group parent meeting Tuesday October 24th at 6:30 at Robious Middle School. Meet week #1 We have had many remarkable training sessions in the past few weeks with many "best" practice times reported on a regular basis. It is always encouraging to see our athletes step up for the group during Friday Night at the Races and this past Friday was outstanding. Lifetime best times, especially accomplished in practice, go a long way to motivate the group and send us all home early as an added benefit! I truly believe those who are engaging in positive efforts with respect to nutrition and recovery are experiencing more productive training sessions. Rest on the weekends must be considered for successful training during the week as school demands are increasing just as rapidly as our training. Please continue to have your recovery items for consumption directly after your daily practice sessions and be diligent in keeping your "fuel" levels at maximum by eating a well balanced diet each day. Please consider the following mental and physical items below and bring your best efforts to the training pool. 1. Be prepared with proper equipment at each training session. 2. Do your part to keep a positive environment with positive banter and enthusiasm. 3. Always begin each length with a great streamline. 4. Power kick off all walls. 5. Be aggressive passing others and have lane courtesy on your finishes. 6. Perform legal and perfect turns for all strokes. 7. Train to get better verses suffering to the finish. 8. Train to the end of the session reserving potty breaks for the breaks. 9. Always practice with tenacity and aggressiveness. 10. Honor your practice commitment. # 2 is the most critical of all as enthusiasm brushes off on those with home your come in contact with. Good old fashion hard work, combined with enthusiastic attitudes creates a powerful force that can accomplish incredible feats. Keep up the efforts. TED |
